What Are You Storing?
We cover every type of caravan, camper and motorhome on Aussie roads.
Caravans
Standard tow-behind caravans from pop-tops to full-height tourers. Most yards can accommodate up to 8 metres.
Camper Trailers
Compact and easy to store. A single parking bay or covered carport is usually enough for a folding camper trailer.
Motorhomes & RVs
Self-contained motorhomes need more height and length. Look for yards with high clearance and easy drive-through access.
Park It Safe. Hit the Road When You’re Ready.
Your caravan is always adventure-ready when it’s stored somewhere secure, dry and easy to access.
Tips for Storing Your Caravan
Clean before storing
Give your van a good wash inside and out before storage. Remove food, empty the fridge and leave cupboards open to prevent mould and musty smells.
Cover the tyres
UV and heat degrade rubber faster than you’d think. Use tyre covers or park in a covered bay to extend the life of your tyres.
Disconnect gas and power
Turn off gas bottles, disconnect the battery and close water taps. A trickle charger on the battery keeps it healthy for the next trip.
Check the jockey wheel and stabilisers
Make sure the jockey wheel and corner stabilisers are properly deployed. This takes weight off the tyres and keeps the van level during long-term storage.
Caravan Storage FAQs
How much does caravan storage cost?
Rates vary by location and whether you choose covered or open storage. Covered bays cost a bit more but protect against weather damage. Browse listings to compare prices in your area.
Is covered storage worth it for a caravan?
Definitely, especially for long-term storage. Covered storage protects your roof, awning and paintwork from UV, hail and rain. It’s a small investment that can save big on repairs.
Can I access my caravan on weekends?
Most yards offer flexible access including weekends. Check the listing for access hours, or message the host to arrange a time that suits.
Do I need to unhitch my caravan?
Yes. Most yards require caravans to be unhitched from the tow vehicle. Deploy the jockey wheel and stabilisers before leaving.
What about pest protection?
Covered storage helps, but it’s a good idea to seal any openings, use pest deterrents and check your van regularly. Ask the host if they do any pest management on the property.
